There are loads of websites where I can get free
CV and covering letter writing advice. Why should I pay for this

You’re absolutely right- there are a number of sites that offer free advice and you
should take advantage of good advice. But even then, most of them will tell you
what to do - assuming they have any
relevant and practical recruitment experience to draw on. A few will even include
sample CVs and covering letters, but none that I know of will show you how to do it or why. They will, of course, provide you

Don’t take my word for it - check it out for yourself (Google search appropriate
terms) and see if the following is not true.
If you want a CV prepared specific to your needs, you could pay at least £50+ for
that service. You’d still have to provide all the information! If you want a covering
letter prepared for you, then expect to pay anything from £95 to £195 per letter! One
covering letter will not meet all your job application needs. If you
then want interview techniques coaching, make sure you have an even fatter wallet!
